Testimonials

The first twelve Haemophilia Academy courses took place at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK, each October/November from 2008 to 2019. During 2020, the Academy went virtual due to the uncertainty with COVID-19 and was a success.

The events were an enormous success, with participants rating the overall course content as 3.96/4 in both 2013 and 2014 and 4/4 in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2020, the participants rated the overall course content as 4.86/5.

Overall the content was excellent and the faculty delivered superb lectures and were sensitive to different experience levels and knowledge within the group. I think that this level of attention is key to the overall ‘ethics’ and feeling of the academy. Thank you so much for the opportunity.

Before this academy, I thought about only my country but now I could get a global view. Now I hope that my knowledge and my research can be helpful for the patients all over the world.

Measurable success

Participants completed evaluation forms at the end of each course day to assess the quality of sessions, how well the learning objectives were met and to what extent their learnings will change their clinical practice.

Quantitative and qualitative feedback from participants was extremely encouraging:
